Bengal Business Conclave, Digha

Bengal is strategically located on the east coast in India and acts as a gateway to South East Asia and North – East India. The State shares international borders with Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan and is well connected with the booming hubs of Asia such as Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

The Government of West Bengal is organizing a Business Convention in Digha on December 11-12, 2019. The conference will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The convention seeks to focus on regional cooperation and strengthening ties with Partner Countries/State/Cities of the Bengal Global Business Summit. The conference will bring together distinguished dignitaries, top corporates, thought leaders, senior diplomats. International participants from neighbouring countries, Partner Countries/State/Cities of Bengal Global Business Summit, International Chambers, Large Industries, MSMEs, other Chambers and Associations are expected to attend the event.

Digha is West Bengal's most popular sea resort, located 187 km south west of Kolkata. Digha originally known as Beerkul was discovered in the late 18th Century by the British. Digha has a low gradient with a shallow sand beach with gentle waves, and it extends 7 kms in length.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated a first-of-its-kind convention centre in Digha with facilities for organizing international conventions, exhibitions and business meets to promote tourism, commerce, trade and industry in the State's coastal areas.
